The award-winning comedic happening-cum-shambles returns to Red Gate Gallery for their traditional Christmas bash for its 3rd year!

Comedy and hi-jinx will be brought to you by stand-up legends Richard Herring, Josie Long and Robin Ince – all three multi award-winners. Plus Christmas sketches from Pappy’s Fun Club, and some more hysterical bonkers from Ricky Gervais’ favourite act Brian Gittins.
There will also be some lovely musical guests to be announced plus some possibly poetry. With additional games, crackers, mince pies and mulled wine(Red Gate special). It is all lovingly hosted by the ramshackle Terry Saunders.

It is free but you must bring a present wrapped up – for the pass-the-parcel – where everyone wins!

CREATIVE DRAWING WORKSHOPS & SUMMER WORKSHOPS at Red Gate Gallery, CAMBERWELL/BRIXTON

Red Gate Gallery would like to inform our public about our life drawing classes re-commencing from 2008.

The 4 hour long workshops will stretch over a 4 week period and are aimed at beginners as well as participants who would like to re-kindle their passion for life drawing and drawing. The workshops are lead by artist and printmaker Jonathan Comerford. His approach is contemporary and innovative yet based on traditional techniques and skill.The objective of the workshop is to give participants a solid foundation of knowledge and skill as well as guidance to develop their own style or ‘handwriting’. Participant numbers not greater than 10 per workshop will ensure good tutor/student rapport.

Cathy and Deena are qualified teachers with The British Wheel of Yoga. Our workshops are an excellent opportunity for you to focus on a particular area of yoga in more detail than a regular class. You will be able to relax, restore and replenish on every level to bring about a total feeling of well being. Strengthening the back has an exhilarating effect on the body and mind. We will look at a variety of back strengthening postures which not only strengthen the back but also lift your posture and raise your spirits.

Format: The morning will consists of a flowing set of postures covering: body and breath awareness, physical strength, flexibility and balance, and the afternoon will be based around pranayama, meditation and relaxation.

Timing: 9.00 a.m. to 2.15 p.m.
